Gabriel Abraham Ávila Martínez

Gabriel Ávila was born in Toluca, Mexico, where he began his musical studies at the age of twelve at the Secondary School of Sacred Music. In 2017, he moved to Rome to study organ under Prof. Federico del Sordo at the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music (PIMS), graduating in 2024 with a specialization in early music.

His performance career includes recitals and festival appearances in Mexico, Italy, and Spain: collaborations with the Toluca Philharmonic Orchestra, participation in the Baeza Early Music Festival (with the Pontifical Schola), and recitals in the Milan Organ Reviews organized by La Cappella Musicale.

In addition to concert work, Gabriel serves as cantor and archivist in various liturgical functions connected to the Julian Chapel of the Vatican.
