GŠ Ansamblis is a vocal group dedicated to sacred music, it is affiliated with the Shrine of Divine Mercy in Vilnius. Its repertoire is shaped by extensive liturgical singing practice, in-depth study of sacred chant traditions, and creative collaborations with musicians from Poland, France, and Italy—including Bartosz Izbicki, Jean-Etienne Langianni, Marcel Pérès, and Crawford Young.
Debuting in 2019, the ensemble has released two albums (Kantičkos, 2019; Clavis Coeli, 2021) and developed programs such as GIESMES tikieimuy katholickam pridiarancias (Jesuit musical heritage of the 17th c.), and Clavis Coeli, based on 18th-century Franciscan manuscripts from Grodno. This latter program was performed in 2022 at the Pieśń Naszych Korzeni (Song of Our Roots) festival alongside Marcel Pérès’ organ improvisation.
GŠ Ansamblis has also collaborated with groups like Merope (Belgium), performing Lithuanian Catholic folk hymns; with Jean-Etienne Langianni on Missa Dominica in Albis; and with ensembles JERYCHO and Morgaine on Oratio Dominica, a hymn project by 16th-century composer Kiprijonas Bazilijus. The ensemble continues to expand its knowledge, drawing on sources such as Old Roman chant, Gregorian chant, the Notre Dame school, and beyond.
